Did you read that headline above? It is almost too hard to believe some of the things that come out of the mouths of the talking heads at MSNBC. The complete lack of understanding of who was in control and running the government of Detroit for 50 plus years and the control the unions had over the car industry in what was once one of America's most prosperous industrial hubs, seems to not even register in the mind of MSNBC talking bot Melissa Harris Perry.
The city of Detroit Michigan which recently declared bankruptcy was run by Democrat governors for 51 years and they did exactly as they pleased, paid outrageous pensions to public sector employees and had automaker unions do the same in private industry and Melissa Harris Perry actually believes that. "This is what it looks like when government is small enough to drown in your bathtub and it is not a pretty picture.”
It is simply beyond us how anyone with any intellectual ability could look at what happened in Detroit over the last 5 decades and make such an utterly ignorant statement. Why MSNBC tolerates such preposterous lunacy is beyond comprehension.
